...is to support community led development by strengthening the capacity of CWs and CBOs to conscientise, organise and agitate for the transformation of society. We adopt a people-centred approach to development with a strong focus on learning, enablement, equality and justice by offering an integrated capacity building programme which includes organisational development support, training, advocacy and infrastructural support.
How do we work?
Since we believe that communities need to take development into their own hands, if transformation in South Africa is to be achieved, we have developed an integrated capacity building programme for CBOs, which we see as the drivers for community-led development. The programme seeks to strengthen CBOs themselves, but also to provide them with a platform to educate other stakeholders in society (government, business, NGOs, donors, the public) about their work and rights.
