Desiree Paulsen - Chairperson

Desiree Paulsen has been a development practitioner at Community Development Resource Association since 2002.  She does organisational development processes with a range or organisations (both locally and globally); facilitates various CDRA courses and is part of a team of practitioners who learn together.

In June 2009, she took up the position of Chairperson to Community Connections.

Noncedo Bulana- Vice Chairperson

Sis Noncedo is currently holding the position of Vice Chairperson on the board of Community Connections.  She is involved in various Community Based Organisations.  Sis Noncedo's input to the board is valuable in providing us with the strategic direction of Community Connections.

Lindani Mzamo- Treasurer

Lindani Mzamo has many years of experience as a financial manager in the NGO sector. He is currently the Financial Manager of the Catholic Welfare and Development (CWD) organisation. Before CWD he worked for CDRA for many years.  He currently holds the position of Treasurer on the board of Community Connections since 2008.

Miriam du Toit- Additional Member

Miriam has over 30 years of experience in the NGO Sector which started at Grassroots Educare Trust in 1974!  She has vast experience in funding, fundraising and administration. 

She has various interests in community development initiatives ranging from serving on the Transformation Forum of the Graduate School of Business (UCT) in 2003 to recently being elected to serve on the board of Community Connections in 2009. She is currently the Administration and Finance Director for African Monitor.

Anne Emmet - Additional Member

Steeped in the Non-profit and development sector where she has been active since 1985, she also has experience of working in the Corporate and State sectors.  

Her role as a consultant includes strategy and programme formulation, systems development, research and monitoring and evaluation.

Anne at present serves on the Boards of the Synergos Institute - Southern Africa, the Wilvan School of Dance and Community Connections (Capacity building for Community based organisations).  Formerly she also served on the boards of Communicare (Social Housing) Educo Africa (Youth development), the WHEAT Trust (Women's Fund), and the Southern African Grantmakers Association.
