ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT & SUPPORT (ODS) AND TRAINING

ODS

Our ODS services focuses on assisting organisations to examine their organisational health and offers guidance for their growth and self-empowerment. Our approach takes into consideration where organisations are in their development, enabling us to build on their skills, experience, and abilities in an organic way. We have a strong orientation towards an appreciative/asset-based approach by acknowledging existing capacities.

All consultancies will follow a process of assessment and profiling, development of a working agreement, implementation, follow-up and evaluation. Our services will respond to the needs identified and will progress at the organisation's own pace, taking indigenous knowledge and practices into account.  We will offer workshop facilitation, mentoring, coaching, training, and will make available relevant information, as required.

The content of each ODS process will differ according to the development demands of each client, but is likely to cover aspects of organisational development, such as:

  • Strategic review
  • Sustainability planning
  • Conceptual framework and core practice
  • Vision, mission and objectives
  • Organisational structure, culture and governance
  • Policy and systems development
  • Team building/dialogue
  • Resource mobilisation/fundraising
  • Networking and partnership-building

We promote a one-year contract with each CBO which can then be re-negotiated at the end of the one-year intervention
