 | Amiena Moerat Amiena has been working in the NGO sector for 16 years. She started out as an administration temporary worker for Careers Research and Information Centre (Cric). After that she worked with the Social Change Assistance Trust (Scat) for 12.5 years in various aspects of administration; ranging from Office Assistant to Office Coordinator before she resigned in 2006. She joined Community Connections in 2007 as the Senior Administrator. In 2008/2009 she became the Operations Manager and she is currently the Acting Director of Community Connections!
She possesses a great ability to persevere within all circumstances that presents itself. Personal and spiritual growth is of essence to her being. |
 | Babalwa Magida Babalwa is a social activist whose passion for women and youth development keeps her striving for their full recognition in their valuable roles in society. She is a Social Sciences graduate whose career comprises radio broadcasting, marketing and is currently the advocacy practitioner at Community Connections. She joined Community Connections in 2009 as the Advocacy Practitioner. |
 | Jane Nshuti Jane joined Community Connections in 2010 as a Development Practitioner. After completing her studies in media, she worked as a Graphic designer at Lighthouse designer for 1 year. In search for more experience she left Lighthouse Design in 2006 and started working for Extra-Mural Education Project (EMEP). During her work experience at EMEP is where she discovered her love and passion for community development. She is now one of our newest members on the team and makes a great contribution in supporting CBOs. |
 | Jodie de Heer Jodie has been involved in local and international development for 6 years. Before she joined Community Connections in 2009 she was involved with different youth development organisations, like Junior Achievement South Africa (JASA) and Youth Development Network (YDN) in Johannesburg and she has done some freelance work. She has a Masters in Health Education and Promotion and feels very passionate about contributing to social transformation, locally and internationally. Jodie holds the research and communication position in the organisation. |
 | Nokhutula Badisi Nokuthula has always had a passion for accounting and is currently doing National Higher Certificate in Accountancy at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. She joined Community Connections in 14 September 2010 as a temporary Organisational Administrator to replace our Administrator during her maternity leave. "I love working in this Organisation because I love working with different kinds of people and I respect their cultures and religion. Working for Community Connections has taught me so much about Community based Organisation and Community workers". |
 | Nosisi Nobakada Nosisi has been involved in development ever since she was a young girl, while she and her friends organised art activities and performances in the townships. In 2006 they decided to start their own organisation, called Ikusasalethu Youth. Their ideal is a crime free society and they work towards this by engaging their peers in dancing, drama, writing and reading. In 2008 Ikhusasalethu requested organisational support from Community Connections and in that same year Nosisi became an intern in the organisation. Currently she is studying Economic Development at UWC and is the Programme assistant. |
 | Thamie Nama Thamie has been involved with Community Connections from the very early start of this organisation. She has occupied different positions in the organisation, from administrator, to trainer and is currently the Programmes Manager. She has obtained different diploma's in bookkeeping and financial management. She has been involved in various community initiatives such as Masizame Arts Group and served as the treasurer in the executive committee of Manyanani Youth Club. |
 | Toto Gxabela Toto and Ninette Eliasov are the pioneers of this organisation and started this Community Connections 10 years ago, in 2000. They met through a mutual friend and shared a similar dream for a strong civil society. Toto has made a crucial contribution to the organisation in his capacity as senior practitioner and is strongly rooted in the communities. Besides community development Toto has a strong passion for arts and theatre and is a great story teller. He also holds a performers diploma in Theatre. |
